Cruise ships adapt their leisure offer to people with reduced mobility
The Costa Cruceros company has developed a joint project with The Italian Association for Multiple Sclerosis (AISM) that has as an objective to offer users with disabilities, tours in each destination cities, making possible to participate in routes, excursions and cultural visits adapted to their needs. That way people with mobility problems, apart from being able to stay in boats free of architectural barriers and with cabins equipped with everything needed to enjoy a maximum comfort, will have the opportunity to savor, without any additional charge, a program of activities designed specifically for them.

Taking a taxi in Valencia is notoriously cheaper than resorting to Uber and Cabify. This information rose from a study carried out by the Organization of Consumers and Users, having extracted their data after anonymously using taxi and VTC services in several cities such as Valencia, Bilbao, Zaragoza, La Coruña, Barcelona or Madrid. According to the OCU, in the specific case of the capital of Turia, the taxi rates are better than Cabify´s by up to 77 cents in short distances. The organization also pressed the importance that operators are governed by the same conditions and regulations. In order for a better environment the entire taxi sector asks to stop the unfair competition of Uber and Cabify.

The Spanish Committee of Representatives of Persons with Disabilities (CERMI) warns in a recent statement of the damage of the municipal ordinances aimed at restricting the access and circulation of vehicles through certain urban roads, due to traffic management reasons; environmental or preservation of historical centers.

A combination of various factors makes Valencia a city that is at the forefront of accessibility for people with reduced mobility (PRM), as recognized by the Spanish Confederation of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities. Therefore, the city's own infrastructure, the effort made to remove architectural barriers, or the cultural activities and tourist routes open for all, have contributed to making the capital of Turia a reference for an accessible city.

Uber appeared in 2009 as a passenger transport service performed by private drivers. It was presented as a means by which someone who wanted to take a certain route could get the service, locating the drivers through a mobile.In spite of technological advancement, the application implies numerous disadvantages especially from the point of view of security.

Do not lose sight of the fact that, when using this application, the vehicles used to carry out the transport are private vehicles, they are not adapted taxis (or Eurotaxis), which is a great impediment, especially from the point of view of a person with reduced mobility (PRM) due to the needs of said service.
