The Ademuz and Fusta bridges in the city of Valencia will remain closed during the months of July and August. Therefore, only residents who live in the surroundings and public transport can access this area.
The reason
The renewal of a water pipe will mean the clossing of 2 roads, affecting two of the busiest bridges in our city. Both areas will remain in works from July 2, with an estimated completion by the end of August.
We are in the first phase of the process that is carried out by the Integral Water Cycle Service which is focused on Blanquería, blocking access to the underpasses of the Petxina and the right side between the Ademuz and the Fusta bridges.
Who is affected?
As we have said before, the residents of that part of Valencia and public transport are the only ones that can pass. The rest, including bicycles, should be limited to using alternative routes, or EMT buses and / or taxis.
It is true that every improvement is a breakthrough and therefore appreciated, along with the impact it has on the common good. However, during some of the works, especially in the middle of summer, and with the increasing tourists, the traffic becomes chaotic and we must be cautious about when we take the car.
