The famous Taxi Law and its modifications and requirements is well known, throughout the taxi industry.
In one of our previous articles, we have already talked about them and, specifically, the part that affects the obligation to have vehicles adapted for PRM if you have more than one car that provides Taxi services in the Valencian Community.
New deadline
It has reached our ears, and we have verified in some newspapers such as the Vanguard, that recently, the Department of Housing, Public Works and Vertebration of the Territory together with Cocemfe and Cermi-CV have agreed to extend the processing period, so that taxi drivers can adapt the vehicles they own.
For its part, the Generalitat justifies the postponement of the previously stipulated date referring to the low percentage, that today, taxis are already subject to the requirements of the new regulations. Castellón, the province that best meets the requirements, has 16% of adapted taxis, Alicante 4.6% and in Valencia, a very low 1.73%.

The urgency of correcting the low number of adapted taxis is the key to accelerating and convining taxi drivers to adapt their vehicles to a sector that has specific needs and is more relevant than many of us consider.The shortage of Eurotaxis in the Valencian Community is quite alarming and requires taking measures that solve the demands and improve the well-being of all citizens.
